2017 return
In 2017, the country returned to the contest with the song "La chute est lente" (translated as "The fall is slow") by French pop singer Alma, who was 2017 French representative in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Requiem", which had also the chance to be part of the Mlovision Song Contest 2017, but Mlo declined the decision citing that "we want more new material from Eurovision artists".
