Slovenia has participated two times in the Mlovision Song Contest. They made their début in the Mlovision Song Contest 2012 with the 16-year-old singer Eva Boto and the song "Verjamem" (translated from Slovene to English as "I believe"). After this, they withdrew from the competition and did not return until 2017 with the Slovene pop duo BQL with their song "Heart of Gold".

2012 debut Edit

In 2012, Slovenian singer Eva Boto won EMA 2012 and competed in the Eurovision Song Contest the same year. After this, her song "Verjamem" (translated as "I believe") became the first Slovenian entry in the Mlovision Song Contest. The song competed with other 5 entries, and at the end of the event, the entry finished in second place.

Withdrawal Edit

Due to a lack of entries, the country withdrew from the contest the next year.

2017 return Edit

In 2017, the country returned to the contest with the Slovene pop duo BQL and the song "Heart of Gold", which competed in EMA 2017, the competition to choose their entry in the Eurovision Song Contest the same year, but finished second.
